Sir,
It is requested to Defence Minister of India to explore all means to trace and bring back our brave Army Personnel taken as Prisoners of War in 1971 by Pakistan. The matter was actively taken up by Govt of India, few years ago but nothing happened thereafter. Govt of India won the 1971 war and in the victory celebrations we forgot to bring back few Prisoners of War taken into custody by Pakistan. We released ninety thousand PoWs of Pakistan and in return we could not press Pakistan to release our PoW’s. Govt of India and all our Defence Officers of Armed Forces should explain the reason for our failure to get back our brave soldiers.
I think neither we are weak as nation nor our Army is weak, so where is the problem? Time and again it has been confirmed that these soldiers are in miserable condition in Pak jail. Even the weakest country would not behave in such way towards its soldiers. We should not forget their sacrifices as all the tears have dried up in the eyes of family members of these war veterans with a hope that one day our brave Army will bring them back. The Government of India should explore all direct and indirect ways to get these soldiers back, otherwise, it will be unfavourable chapter in our praiseworthy history.
