JAMMU, Jan 18: Bus Stand police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 kilograms of poppy straw from his possession.
As per police sources, during patrolling, a team from Bus Stand Police Station apprehended a man along with 10 kilograms of poppy straw.
The arrested person has been identified as Dinesh Kumar, son of Subash Chander, a resident of Balachor District Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 5/19 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bus Stand and investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Amritpal Singh and SSP Jammu Tejinder Singh.
