Girls Aloud members ban alcohol on tour

LONDON, Feb 4: Girls Aloud members have reportedly banned all drinks backstage at their reunion gig to support their member Sarah Harding, who is recovering from alcoholism.
Cheryl Cole, Nicola Roberts, Kimberly Walsh and Nadine Coyle are pulling out all the stops to ensure Harding doesn’t falter.
Harding was treated for alcohol abuse and depression after splitting with fiance DJ Tom Crane in 2011, reported Sun Online.
“The girls have decided to ban alcohol altogether in support of Sarah. She’s still dealing with her alcohol problem two years on and they’ve decided to ban it out of respect to her. It’s only fair — they don’t want her falling off the wagon and going back to how she was after she split from Tom.
“Tour staff — including dancers — are included in the ban, so if anyone wants a drink after the show they will have to leave the arena area to do so as it’s completely banned in the dressing rooms,” a source said.
The girls have signed up for 19 dates, kicking off in Cheryl’s native Newcastle, before finishing up in Liverpool. (PTI)
