Cong will win elections: IYC chief

SAMBA, Jan 20: Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president, Keshav Chand Yadav, today lashed out at the BJP Government for its wrong policies and failure to address genuine issues of farmers, employees of different categories and unemployed youth leading to unrest in various sections of the State.
Addressing Youth Congress activists here today Yadav said that Congress is the only secular force in the country which has a history of respecting the aspirations and protecting the rights of different sections of society and it is quite sure that party will come out with flying colours in the upcoming elections.
‘Yuva Kranti Yatra’, a nationwide massive public outreach campaign, on Sunday moved forward to Himachal Pradesh after the convention at Samba. It had reached Jammu on January 18, 2019. Under the leadership of IYC National president Keshav Chand Yadav and National vice president, Srinivas BV, the Yatra was started on November 26 from Kanyakumari and will reach the National Capital on January 30, 2019, after covering all the states. It will cover all the states of North-east India and conclude at Rajghat in Delhi.
Srinivas in his address said that the effects of GST and demonetisation has led to unrest in the county and effects of which could be seen in Chatisgarh, Rajasthan, MP where people voted out BJP. He appealed to the gathering to carry the message of togetherness and secularism in India vigorously to the people.
Shahnawaz Choudhary general secretary PCC, said that both BJP and PDP betrayed the people of the State and violated the mandate given by the electorates. He said that promises made to the people like eradication of unemployment, development and especially providing the basic facilities have proven a mere hoax on ground.
Uday Chib, PYC president, held BJP responsible for surrendering the interests of people of Jammu and throwing the elections promises to the dustbin. He exhorted the people of J&K to teach a lesson to BJP in the upcoming Assembly elections.
Prominent among those who were present include Subash Bhagat, Pankaj Basotra, Sahil Sharma, Ajaz Chaudhary, Chetan Wanchoo, Nimrandeep Singh, Sandeep Risham, Ranjeet Chopra and Jagdeep Singh.
