JAMMU, Jan 20: In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistani Rangers today fired unprovoked along International Border (IB) in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
BSF troops effectively retaliated the firing.
Pakistani Rangers at around 11 am opened firing with small arms in Hiranagar sector, sources said.
They added that the BSF troops responded by limited firing, adding, no loss or damage on Indian side has been reported so far.
Meanwhile, Pakistan army also opened firing at Pokhra, Kalal and Baba Khori forward villages along LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district during the day today. The Indian troops retaliated.
Exchange of firing lasted only few minutes in which no loss of life or damage was reported on the Indian side.
