SAMBA, Jan 22: One person died after the car he was driving skidded off the road and hit a tree at Kamala Morh area in Ramgarh Sector of Samba district today.
The deceased has been identified as Balbir Singh, 37, son of Karan Singh resident of Jogpur, Jakh, Vijaypur.
According to the police, the mishap occurred at Swankha road near Kamala Morh, when an Alto car without Registration Number coming from Vijaypur, on reaching near Kamala Morh skidded off the road and hit a tree after the driver lost the control over the vehicle. This resulted in the critically injury to the driver of the car.
He was shifted to Community Health Centre Ramgarh with the assistance of people, where doctor declared him as brought dead and the body of the deceased was taken to mortuary of the Hospital for autopsy. After autopsy the body was handover to legal heirs for his last rites.
The police has taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation.
