ABVP to launch voter awareness campaign in J&K

JAMMU, Jan 22: Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) is going to launch fortnight light voter awareness campaign in Jammu and Kashmir from February 1
This was informed by ABVP State Secretary Deepak Gupta, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“We are going to start a Voter Awareness Campaign from 1st February to 15th February 2019 throughout the State in which ABVP is going to paste 50,000 posters on public places and two lakh stickers at student corners in colleges and university for promoting 100 percent polling in the forthcoming elections,” he said
Besides, Deepak Gupta added, door to door campaign will be held for `No to NOTA’ awareness while five Rath Yatras shall be taken out throughout the State covering voters at Panchayat level for 100 percent polling.
“Various nukkad Nataks (street corner shows) and Flash mob programme are going to be organised on 9th and 10th of February and the campaign will end with Jan Sabhas at different district headquarters,” he said and appealed people of J&K to support the ABVP campaign.
Deepak Gupta also informed that a delegation of ABVP called on Chief Electoral Officer J&K, Shailender Kumar who informed them about the Campus Ambassador Programmes and the registration of new voters by way of SVEEP Programme, Coordinated by CEO Jammu Kashmir. The CEO has expectations from organizations like ABVP to work in a positive way and aware voters to vote for 100 percent polling,” he added.
State Jt Girls Working Incharge Naina Dogra, Muskan Anand, Sonali Vaid, Suyash Gupta and Kunal Sadotra were also present in the press conference.
