JAMMU, Jan 23: The dead body of a man was today found hanging at his residence in Trikuta Nagar area of city outskirts.
“The body of a man namely Ranjeet Singh (48) son of Gurveer Singh, resident of Sector No 1, Trikuta Nagar, was found hanging from an iron angle at his residence this afternoon,” a police official said. He said the body was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated at police station Trikuta Nagar.
Meanwhile, an unknown woman, pedestrian of age about 70 years was hit and injured by a speeding truck at Satwari while a man namely Babu Ram (49) son of Badri Nath, resident of Mishriwala and his wife, Pappi Devi (48) were hit and injured by a motor bike at Batehra in Kanachak area.
All the three injured persons were shifted to GMCH Jammu for treatment while in both cases the concerned police had taken cognizance.
