KATHUA/SAMBA, Jan 24: One person died and ten were injured in two road accidents in Kathua and Samba districts today.
As per reports, one person died while eight others were injured near Chhan Morian area of Hiranagar in district Kathua today while two bikers were injured after hit by tempo traveler near Hanuman Temple near Brian in district Samba.
Reports said, an accident took place at Chhan Morian area of Hiranagar this morning, when a tempo traveler bearing Registration No PB07AS- 0683 which was on way to Jammu from Punjab hit with a tractor trolley at Chhan Morian as a result eight passengers including driver who were travelling in the vehicle got critical injured and shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment with the help of Police. But doctors at the hospital declared one injured as brought dead. He was identified as driver of the vehicle, namely Darshan Singh, 60, son of Joginder Singh, resident of Mehndipur Mukeriyan, Punjab and the body of the deceased was kept in the mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for autopsy and the injured were under treatment in District Hospital Samba.
The police has taken cognizance the matter and started investigation.
In another accident two motorcyclists were injured after hit by tempo traveler vehicle near Hanuman Temple, Barian in district Samba today.
According to the Police, the mishap occurred at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway near Hanuman Temple Barian in District Samba, when a tempo traveler bearing registration No PB01-1379 on the way of Pathankot from Jammu on reaching near Barian suddenly hit a motorcycle bearing Registration No JK21B- 3834, as result the two person namely Nirmal Singh and Narinder Singh both sons of Kulbir Singh resident of Chak Ram Chand, Supwal who were riding on motorcycle received critical injuries and shifted to Accidental Hospital Vijaypur for treatment with the assistance of Police.
In this regard Police has registered a case and started investigation.
