SAMBA, Jan 24: The Shiv Nagar area of Vijaypur tehsil has plunged into darkness for last five days but the PDD is in deep slumber and it has failed to replace the transformer.
According to the residents, the area plunged into darkness for last five days but the Department failed to replace the damaged transformer. Due to this they have faced lot of trouble and the concerned officers have remained mute spectators. They also said before one month the electric transformer burnt seven times in this area.
Pooja Devi, a house wife said that the people of Shiv Nagar face many difficulties due to power crisis and the electric transformer of the area burnt over a week before but the Department failed to replace the transformer by a new one. She also said that the officers of the Department better know about the condition of the transformer as residents many times approached them regarding this issue but to no avail.
They warned if the electric transformer is not replaced soon then they will be forced to come on road and hold protest against the said Department.
