Waakhs of Mata Roop Bhawani released

JAMMU, Jan 25: Athrot Charitable Socio Cultural Society in collaboration with Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust released 7 waakhs of Mata Shri Roop Bhawani, here today.
The waakhs were released by C M Dhar, president, Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust along with Kanwal Peshin (renowned artist and playwright), Arvin Tickoo (event organizer), Athrot, JK Raina, BL Jalali, Inder Mohan Dhar, Sumita Bhat, Sharad Pandita, besides members of both SAST and Athrot.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Dhar said, “Mata Shree Roop Bhawani wrote 114 waakhs, which are compiled in Rehasyeupdesh by Sas Trust in 1951. Overall 114 waakhs were available in Sharda script in which Kashmiri language was written at that time. These waakhs were translated and wetted by eminent scholars like Har Bhat Shastri and Pt Shiv Nath Sharma before these were compiled and published by the Trust. These waakhs represent the philosophy of nirwana, self-realization and the way to purify the soul”.
He said from the 114 waakhs, Athrot chose seven waakhs in the first attempt and the same were recorded and visualized. He said three of them where utilized in the film Alakh Ishwari by renowned playwright and artist, Kanwal Peshin.
“The waakhs have been sung by a budding singer Sumita Bhat while visualization has been done by Kanwal Peshin. Music Director of the waakhs is Ravi Bhan where as direction has been done by Pradeep Pandita and Arvin Tickoo. Cinematography has been done by Ashish Raina and translation has been done by Satish Dhar,” Dhar added.
The waakhs have been jointly produced by Shree Alakh Sahiba Trust and Athrot as it was felt that these waakhs must reach devotees across the globe as it carries blessing as well.
