SAMBA, Jan 27: A Health Awareness programme was organised by Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch in remote villages of Chiladanga and Mohargarh, here.
The Camp on health related matters was held under the supervision of Senior Orthopedician, Dr Bias Dev.
During this Camp, over 50 people were provided free medical consultation and medicines by the Team of Red Cross.
On the sidelines, Health and Hygiene Awareness Camp was organised at Govt Middle School, Mohargarh, Samba where students were provided iron and calcium tablets by the team.
While talking to the media persons, Programme Manager, IRCS-J&K, Imran Muzaffar said that the team of Red Cross has been deputed by General Secretary, Shafi Rather with a motive to provide free healthcare to people of the remote/border areas of district Samba.
“We aim to pursue our goal of awareness about Health and Hygiene among the student community of the area. The programme will be followed by more such activities among the rural and border areas of District Samba,” Muzaffer said.
