UDHAMPUR, Jan 27: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence near Sudhmahadev while a bus conductor died after he fell from the moving vehicle at Udhampur Bus Stand.
Reports said that 23-year-old Faghu, son of Ramu of Bap Sarad, Sudhmahadev, Chenani, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence last night. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to SDH Chenani where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu. However, he breathed his last on way to GMC Jammu where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a young man died after he fell from a moving bus near bus stand Udhampur, here today.
The deceased was identified as Inayat Ali (40), son of Gul Mohammed, resident of Samroli, who was conductor of the same bus JK02BD-0193. The mishap took place when the bus was leaving the Udhampur bus stand. The deceased , who was hanging near door of the bus, suddenly fell down resulting into critical injuries to him. He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
According to Police, driver of the bus fled from the spot while the said vehicle was seized and a case has been registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
