RAJOURI, Jan 28: The people from Manore Gala and adjoining areas in Kandi today held protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) for imposing long power cuts in the area.
The agitating people raised barricades at Manore Galla and disrupted movement of vehicles on Rajouri- Budhal Road for about an hour. They were shouting slogans against the PDD staff and local administration.
Later, Tehsildar Koteranka, Imtiaz Ahmed reached the spot and pacified the public. Then the people lifted dharna on his assurance.
