Feb 1 rally is non-political, aimed to highlight general issues: Mankotia

UDHAMPUR, Jan 28: Maintaining that scheduled rally on February 1 was not political, president of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party and former MLA, Balwant Singh Mankotia today appealed all the citizens of Udhampur, irrespective of their political affiliation, to assemble at Mini Stadium Udhampur on the day for highlighting the issues of general masses.
While addressing a press conference, here today, he informed that the February 1 rally highlighting main issues like traffic, drug abuse and irregular supply of drinking supply will proceed towards DC office Udhampur at 10:00 AM.
Mankotia said that the march will be non political and there will be no flag of any political party but only the basic public issues. “So it must be joined by each and every citizen,” he added.
Mankotia said that some political leaders are criticizing them for the awareness and giving it a political face but this campaign is not aimed for any political favour. “It is for highlighting main issues being faced by common public for which the administration should be put into the cage,” he said and appealed all the political leaders to join them to improve the system.
Among those, who were present in the press conference, included Sudesh Sharma and Councilor Darshan Kumar.
