JAMMU, Jan 28: ‘Ek Sath Rang Mandal’ here today staged a programme with the patriotic theme of ‘Vandey Mataram’.
A handout stated that ‘Vandey M0ataram’ is a song considered to be a symbol of our Independence.
“This patriotic song has created a history in the struggle of independence of our country,” the handout further said.
The handout informed about the history of this song and said that in 1896 this song was composed by Ravinderanath Tagore.
Artists who participated in the programme were Raju Mad, Kanta Sharma, Ashok Sharma, Shally, Shibu, Kavita and Vijay Malla.
