There is a life beyond board exams: PM

NEW DELHI: Stressing that the board examinations are not ‘exam of a lifetime’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said there is a life beyond board exams.
Interacting with teachers, students and parents across the country in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0’ programme at Talkatora Stadium, the PM, replying to a query from a student, said, ”Remind yourself that you are not facing the exam of a lifetime, you are just facing a class exam, face it with the right attitude.”

On students facing failure in exams, he said, ”I remember the lines of a poem that childhood does not die with the breaking of some toys. There is a big message in these lines. Life does not come to a stop if the results are examinations are not as per your expectations.”

At the same time he urged parents not to load their ‘unfulfilled expectations ‘on the children.
”I would request parents to not expect your children to fulfil your unfulfilled dreams. Every child has his or her own potential and strengths, one needs to understand the positives of every child,” the PM said. (AGENCIES)
