JAMMU, Jan 29: J&K Employees’ Joint Action Committee (R) today discussed demands of clerical cadre and other employees in a meeting held under the leadership of its State president, Babu Hussain Malik.
A threadbare discussion was held related to different issues of the general employees. The main demands discussed in the meeting include removal of pay anomalies of Clerical cadre/amendment in SRO 33, restoration of Old Pension Scheme in case of NPS employees appointed after 2010, and abolition of SRO 222, stating that it is discriminatory with the newly appointed employees.
The demands like regularization of daily wagers/consolidated/contractual and Anganwari Workers, not to implement the proposal for enhancing the retirement age of College teaching fraternity from existing 60 to 62 years and five days working with holiday on Saturday for all Government offices situated outside Civil secretariat were also discussed in the meeting.
All the members in one voice appealed the State Government to redress the genuine grievances of the employees at all level, otherwise employees will have to come again on streets to get their rights.
The meeting was attended by Seva Ram Rathore, Kulwant Singh Sambyal, Rehmat Ullah, Yashpal Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Anil Salathia, Vikas Chander, Ovais Amir Wani and many others.
