JAMMU, Jan 29: Sidhra police under ‘Operation Kamdhenu’ foiled bovines smuggling bid by rescuing 10 cattle.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Sidhra Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AF-3911.
During checking, police rescued 10 cattle from the vehicle and seized it, while the bovines’ smuggler(s) managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 55/19 under section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Nagrota Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Sidhra SI Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Deepak Pathania, SDPO Nagrota Mohan Lal Sharma and SP Rural Jammu Dushyant Sharma.
