JAMMU, Jan 30: A woman was killed today in a road mishap in Bajalta area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a pedestrian identified as Parkasho Devi (70) wife of Bihari Lal, resident of Bajalta, was hit and seriously injured by a rashly driven mini-bus near Kuppar in Bajalta area.
He said the woman was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where she succumbed to her injuries. The body was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while Nagrota police had registered a case FIR No 58/2019 under Section 279,337,304-A RPC against the accused mini-bus driver and seized the mini-bus. However, the accused was yet to be arrested.
