Warm send off accorded to retiring officials

JAMMU, Jan 31: Chief Secretary, B V R Subrahmanyam today hosted a simple but impressive farewell function to bid adieu to K B Agarwal, Financial Commissioner, Housing & Urban Development Department and Mohammad Javed Khan, Secretary, Floriculture, Parks and Gardens on their attaining superannuation.
Principal Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Principal Secretary Home, Principal Secretary, Finance, Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce and other Administrative Secretaries and senior officers participated in the function and wished the retiring officers success in all their future endeavors.
District police Rajouri district today accorded warm send off to Deputy Inspector General of Police, Rajouri-Poonch range, Deepak Kumar Slathia, who attained superannuation from service today. A farewell programme was organised in District Police Lines Rajouri in which SSP Rajouri, Yougal Manhas, ASPs, SDPOs, SHOs and I/C PPs and hundreds of other ranks of police were present. All of them wished the retiring DIG a healthy and happy family life post retirement life.
The Forest department today bid adieu to N P Singh, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests on his superannuation here today. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Suresh Chugh, said that N P Singh was an upright officer who contributed a lot towards forest protection management in various capacities. He wished a healthy and happy post retirement life to him.
Police Headquarters Jammu today accorded a farewell to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (Steno), Mohammad Afzal, at a function held at Conference Hall, Police Headquarters. ADGP HQ, A G Mir, speaking on this occasion, praised the outgoing officer for his dedication and contribution to the department. He as well as IGP (Pers), J P Singh wished the retiring Deputy SP a healthy post retirement life.
Raj Kumar Kohli, AEE Mechanical, was accorded a warm send off by the officers and staff of Ravi Tawi Irrigation Department and Mechanical Division, RTIC Jammu, on attaining superannuation after rendering 38 years of Government service as an Engineer. In an impressive farewell function organized at Tawi Pump House Jammu, SE Mechanical, I&FC, XEn RTIC Mechanical Division, TCC Division, AEEs and other official of the department extended their warm greetings to Kohli and wished him good health and happy post retirement life. Earlier, All J&K Mechanical Engineers Association also accorded a separate farewell to Kohli.
JM Tharmatt, DEPO, Department of Education, was accorded a warm farewell by his colleagues and companions at CEO’s Office, Udhampur on attaining superannuation from his meritorious services today. On the occasion, speakers including CEO Udhampur lavished praise on Tharmatt for his contribution in the field of education. The students of 1992-94 batch of Govt HSS Udhampur led by Sushima Pandita presented him a memento- ‘Teachers Excellency Award’ and gave him a sobriquet ‘The Mimic Master of Chemistry’ for blending Chemistry with Comedy.
Staff and officers of Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu accorded warm and affectionate farewell to Anoop Kumar Tickoo, AEO Purchase Section Jammu, Ravinder Mohan Razdan, Senior Scientific Assistant, State Seed Testing Laboratory, Jammu and Kasturi Lal, Head Assistant, JDA (SLUB) Jammu who retired today after rendering more than 35 years of service to the Department.
In another programme organized at Directorate of Command Area Development, Narender Kumar Mishra, Chief Agriculture Officer Jammu/Samba was accorded farewell on his superannuation after 37 years of service. Directorate of School Education, Jammu today organized an impressive function to bid farewell to the Section Officer, Ram Paul Sharma on attaining superannuation after rendering 38 years of meritorious services. The function was attended by Director School Education Jammu Anuradha Gupta, besides senior officers and officials of the Directorate, who wished Ram Paul a happy post-retirement life.
Staff and officers of PHE Division Kathua accorded warm and affectionate farewell to Kuldeep Kumar, Head Draftsman, PHE Division Kathua, who retired today after rendering 38 years of service in the department. The farewell function was organized by the PHE Department Driver Cleaner Union, district Kathua and PHE Division Udhampur.
