Vigilance books Revenue officials for making fake mutations

DODA, Feb 1: Vigilance office, Doda today booked two Revenue officials for mutilating the Revenue records to illegally favour some beneficiaries in lieu of pecuniary benefits.
In pursuance of an enquiry conducted by Vigilance Office Doda on a complaint referred to him by State Vigilance Commission/Anti Corruption Bureau, a case FIR No 01/2019 under various Sections of Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered at police station ACB Doda against the revenue officials and the beneficiaries.
Inquiry report of the Departmental Vigilance Officer (DVO) had revealed that two revenue officials namely Rajesh Kumar Thakur, the then Naib Tehsildar Thathri and Parvaz Ahmed son of Atta Mohd Zargar, resident of Thathri, the then Patwari Halqa Jangalwar, were responsible for arranging fake revenue documents and Khaka Dasti to facilitate the sale deed of 19 Marlas of land out of Khasra No 1136/516 in favour of private beneficiaries at Village Thathari.
Therefore, on the basis of facts which surfaced during the enquiry conducted by Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda (DVO), prima facie case was made out against the then Naib Tehsildar Thathri, the then Patwari Halqa Jangalwar and others including beneficiary Mansoor Ahmed son of Ghulam Hassan Butt of Thathri.
Accordingly, a formal case has been registered against the Revenue officials and the beneficiaries in police station Anti-Corruption Bureau Doda and the investigation of the case has been taken-up. This is the first case registered in police station ACB Doda, which has been recently created by the Government.
