JAMMU, Feb 2: In view of coming assembly elections in the State and strengthen the party at grass-root level, District Congress Committee president for Jammu Urban, Vikram Malhotra, today appointed new presidents for various wards.
The newly appointed Ward presidents are- Balbir Singh from Ward No. 1, Rajesh Kholsa from Ward No. 2, Hardevinder Singh from Ward 3, Rajinder Gupta from Ward 4, Maqbool Ahmed from Ward 6, Vishal Gupta from Ward No 7 and Ajay Lagorta from Ward No 19.
Speaking on the occasion, Malhotra welcomed the newly appointed Ward presidents and said that the time has come for the party workers to gear up for the forthcoming assembly elections. He said it is only the Congress party, which is committed for the development of all three regions of the state including the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
Among others who were present on the occasion included, BB Gupta, Madan Lal Malagar , PS Chouhan, Deepak Mehra, Block president Meenkashi Arora, Ritu Chowdhary Corporater, Jyoti Vaid, Sushant Gupta, Ram Lal and Vicky Choudhary.
