Budget will prove boon for farmers: BJP Kissan Morcha

JAMMU, Feb 2: The recently presented budget will prove to be a boon for the farmers and those associated with the agriculture.
This was stated by State President of BJP Kissan Morcha, Rajinder Singh Chib while addressing media persons here today. General Secretaries Kissan Morcha KL Sharma, Raghuvir Singh and State Secretary Kissan Morcha were also present on the occasion.
Chib said that the Central Government with an aim to doubling the farmer’s income has taken various landmark steps in this four and half years’ regime. The annual budget of year 2019-20 is more specific initiative to help the farmers financially, he added.
He said that to promote ‘The National Gokul Mision’ in the country, an amount of Rs 750 crore has been allocated in the budget. The mission aims to promote and looking after various varieties of Indian originated cows which were being affected adversely due to cross breeding of cows through western technology.
“The farmers promoting the Indian originated cows would be financially helped and rewarded for their good performance in this field. This will also increase the milk production in the country and increase the source of earning of the farmers in addition to availability off organic Khad”, he stated.
Chib added that, the farmers pursuing the Animal Husbandry and creating separate units of fishery would be given 2 per cent interest rebate on their loan money. The farmers affected due to natural calamity would be given 2 per cent interest rebate and additional 3 per cent interest rebate for timely payment of their loan money, he added.
He further added that the BJP Kissan Morcha is fighting for grant of land compensation to the farmers whose land, buildings, orchards and commercial units are coming in the Jammu ring road and Srinagar semi-ring road.
