Facilities at Sub District Hospital demanded

KATHUA, Feb 2: A protest rally was taken out here today by Samajik Insaaf Manch (SIM) Hiranagar demanding facilities at the Sub District Hospital.
The protesters raised slogans in favour of their demands which included up-gradation of Sub-District Hospital Hiranagar to 100 bedded.
The protesters informed that up-gradation of Sub-District Hospital was sanctioned 10 years back but no work has been done in this regard till date.
The protesters also demanded filling of all the posts of doctors like Ortho, ENT, radiologist etc in the Hospital so that the public may not suffer.
“Number of seriously injured people due to Pakistan firing and highway accidents visit this hospital and lack of facilities here force them to move to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu where many patients die en-route,” a protestor said.
The protest was led by SIM President B.L Kandley and Ch Swaran Singh.
The protest rally started from Hiranagar Stadium and culminated at SDM Office Hiranagar where the protesters submitted a memorandum containing their demands to Governor through SDM Hiranagar.
Prominent among those who were present in the protest were Ranjeet Singh Pathania, Suresh Kumar, Dhruv Singh, Bhagwan Dass, Sham Lal, Ravi Kumar, Karnail Chand, Bhajan Lal and others.
