Shopkeepers of Mangal Market protest against JDA, warn to start movement

JAMMU, Feb 5: Shopkeepers of Mangal Market near Railway Station here held protest against Jammu Development Authority (JDA), here today.
Shopkeepers assembled near Mangal Market and raised slogans against the JDA authorities for damaging the board of the market and other items of the shopkeepers.
While speaking, President, Mangal Market Association Mangal Sharma said that this market was constructed in the year 2002 and since than its name was Mangal Market.
“JDA on the command of some influential persons are trying to change the name of this market, which we don’t allow, as this market is famous and having great reputation in Jammu and across the country”, he stated.
He further stated that Tehsildar JDA Shruti Bhardwaj along with her team reached the market today and damaged the board of the market and some items of the shopkeepers, adding that this highhandedness of the JDA authorities is intolerable.
“We will not allow the JDA authorities to change the name of this market and if JDA continues with their tactics to get the name changed, we will start a movement against the JDA authorities”, he warned.
Among others present were Naresh Sharma, General Secretary, Om Parkash, Vishal Kapoor, Paramjit Singh,
