JWAM protests against ERA, JMC, PWD

JAMMU, Feb 5: Jammu West Assembly Movement held protest against Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA), Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and Public Works Department (R&B), here today.
The residents including men, women and children accompanied by JWAM President Sunil Dimple held protest and raised slogans against ERA and JMC authorities.
While speaking, Dimple alleged that the under construction sewerage project is a total failure. He said that the ERA has done substandard work in constructing the sewerage project as manholes are overflowing and dirty water is entering the residential houses and shops.
He further stated that due to overflowing of the water through the manholes, the roads to have got damaged, which PWD (R&B) has failed to maintain.
He appealed to Governor to order CBI probe in the construction of the sewerage project. He also asked the ERA, JMC and PWD to work in coordination for the construction of this project, failing which a mass agitation will be launched.
Dimple also flayed the JMC authorities for its failure to keep the area neat and clean by lifting the garbage dumps.
“JMC authorities are playing with the lives of the people by not lifting the garbage dumps”, he said, adding that for the failure of the sewerage project, ERA is wholly solly responsible and a CBI probe should be conducted.
