Readymade garments’ showroom gutted in fire, one injured

JAMMU, Feb 7: A readymade garments’ showroom gutted in fire in Gandhi Nagar area on city outskirts.
According to police sources, the fire broke out into ‘Reva Enterprises’, a showroom of readymade garments tonight at about 9: 45 pm. They said the fire broke out with a big bang, apparently due to blast in MCB of the shop in which an employee of the shop namely Harpreet Singh received minor injuries. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, they added.
Sources said two fire tenders from Fire Station Gandhi Nagar were immediately rushed to the spot which took about 20 minutes to douse the flames. However, till then whole stock of the garments has been turned into ashes, they said, adding it is difficult to ascertain the quantum of loss in the fire immediately.
They said a case in this connection was registered at police station Gandhi Nagar and investigations started.
