JAMMU, Feb 7: Bharat Darshan Tour, organized by 160 Bn, CRPF under Civic Action Programme from January 31, was flagged in, here today.
15 students of various schools of Jammu along with two representative of 160 Bn, were sent to Goa and Delhi where in they visited various tourist and historical places.
On completion of this tour, the closing ceremony was organized at 160 Bn HQ Chatha, in the presence of P C Jha, DIGP (Ops) Jammu North, CRPF as chief guest. Ram Kumar, Comdt-38 Bn; B P Yadav, Comdt-84 Bn; R L Fimate, 2-I/C-160 Bn; Arun Kumar Rai, 2-I/C-160 Bn; Gopal Krishan Hari, Dy Comdt-160 Bn; Jai Prakash Singh, Dy Comdt-160 Bn; Sandeep Kumar Gautam, Asstt Comdt-160 Bn; Manoj Kumar Bunkar, Astt Comdt-160 Bn and Sarpanch Chatha- Avatar Singh were also present on this occasion.
During the tour, the students visited various tourist and historical places at Goa i.e. Calangute beach, Baga beach, Aguada Fort, Candolim beach, sight seeing at Basilica of Bom Jesus, Museum of Christian Art in Old Goa, Gao Science Centre, sightseeing at Naval Aviation Museum, Colva Beach in South Goa. After this, they moved from Goa to Delhi by flight yesterday and visited tourist and historical places at Delhi like Lal Kila, India Gate, Kutubminar etc.
For this tour, 160 Bn CRPF provided T-Shirt, track suit, shoes, bag, socks, blankets etc. All lodging and boarding arrangements were also provided by 160 Bn, CRPF.
