UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Police today nabbed a drug peddler from Omara Morh area and seized 10 gms of contraband substance (Chitta) from his possession.
The accused, identified as Razaq Ahmed alias Shama, son of Chirag Din of Krimchi, Udhampur, was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Udhampur near Omara Morh. During search, 10 gms of Chitta was recovered from his possession.
Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered Chitta. In this connection, a case FIR number 43/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is going on.
Meanwhile, Udhampur Police nabbed a thief red handed at Sallian Talab.
Flying squad party, headed by ASI Bashir Ali apprehended the thief, namely Kuldeep Kumar, son of Dharam Chand, resident of Near CEO Office Dandya, when he was trying to break open the lock of a provision store at Sallian Talab Udhampur.
In this connection, a case FIR number . 44/2019 U /S 457/380/511 RPC has been registered at PS Udhampur.
