JAMMU, Feb 9: Former Deputy Chief Minister & Senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta, toured Bahu area, started sewerage work and listened to the grievances of common masses there.
Gupta was accompanied by Baldev Billowria, Ankush Gupta, Sharda Kumari, Sunil Sharma, Dalbir Singh, Vivek Patyal, Sunny Sangotra, Ankush Sharma and other local party workers. Gupta started the sewerage work in Ward 48 to be constructed at Rs 22.5 crore and inspected the ongoing works under various schemes of Gandhi Nagar Legislative Constituency.
Kavinder, while addressing the gathering on the occasion, said that BJP is committed to the overall development of the State and this can gauged from the recent Government order for creation of Ladakh as a separate and third administrative and Revenue Division of Jammu and Kashmir. He complimented Prime Minister, Modi and Governor, Satya Pal Milk for the same. He said for the equitable development of all the three regions of the State this was necessity of the hour. Previous Governments of the State headed by opposition parties played with the sentiments of the public of Ladakh, but it is the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi that the demand of public has been fulfilled, he added.
He quoted Modi as the “Man of Developing India” and said; very soon India will again be at the top slot in every sector of the world. He said Prime Minister has sent a strong message to all functionaries of Government, that every person/official is accountable for the optimum utilization of all the Government resources. Gupta stressed for the utilization of every penny released by the Union Government for the projects.
Meanwhile lambasting former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah for his statement for creation of two more divisions in the State i.e. Chenab Valley and Pirpanchal, Gupta said both the areas are in Jammu division and further division of Jammu shall not be allowed. Moreover for political benefits Omar has started giving such statements.
