JAMMU, Feb 9: Arnia police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered intoxicant capsules from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Arnia Police Station laid a naka near Kalyana and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 110 intoxicant capsules from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ramesh Kumar, son of Atma Ram, a resident of Biaspur, Tehsil RS Pura, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 8/19 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Arnia Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other members involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Arnia Inspector Rajesh Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prasher and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
