Students of GDC Sunderbani protest

RAJOURI, Feb 9: Students of Govt Degree College Sunderbani today held a strong protest against non-availability of pure drinking water, hygienic toilets, sitting arrangements and adequate faculty in the college.
Numbering around 150 to 200, the protest students boycotted their classes and held a demonstration amidst raising of slogans in support of their demands. The protest demonstration continued for around two hours.
The protesting students alleged that despite repeated pleas, no action was taken for providing them pure drinking water, hygienic toilets, classrooms, adequate sitting space and filling up of the vacant faculty positions in Govt Degree College Sunderbani.
Later, the College administration assured the student that all their genuine demands would be fulfilled within 15 days. On the assurance, student suspended their strike and peacefully dispersed off.
