UDHAMPUR, Feb 10: JK ReT Teachers’ Forum today threatened of boycotting the election duties during upcoming parliamentary and assembly elections if their demands including implementation of 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA teachers from January 2016 were not fulfilled.
In a meeting of the Forum held here at Bhagat Singh Park under the chairmanship of its senior vice chairman Bhupinder Singh, State coordinator Pritam Dhimaan and DP Udhampur Kuldeep Katoch, a large number of teachers from eleven zones of district Udhampur strongly criticized the concern authorities for not implementing 7th Pay Commission in favour of undergraduate teachers and not starting the regularization process till time.
While addressing the gathering, senior vice chairman, Bhupinder Singh, strongly lambasted the authorities for not implementing 7th Pay Commission in favour of 41000 General Line Teachers appointed under Order No 396.
“When we were protesting last year, Governor Administration assured to release the salary for the month of September 2018 as per 7th Pay Commission in favour of all teachers but instead Administration divided the teaching community as per the pattern of Graduate and Undergraduate,” he added.
State Coordinator, Pritam Dhimaan also spoke on the occasion and said that it is right time to unite all SSA teachers as Government is playing mind game with teaching community. He said 7th Pay Commission is our right as we have already got the benefit of 6th Pay Commission and we are permanent employees of the State Government.
Kuldeep Katoch appealed teachers of their cadre to remain united and ready for protest again if Government fails to implement 7th Pay Commission in favour of SSA teachers from January 2016.
Leaders of the Forum also threatened the administration to boycott the election duties if their demands were not fulfilled before parliamentary and assembly elections.
