KATHUA Feb 14: In continuation to strict measures to thwart conspiracies of bovine smugglers, Ravinder Singh, SDPO, Border, Kathua along with SI Ashwani incharge Police Post, Chadwal succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued nine bovine animals.
Police team on a tipoff about bovine smuggling established checkpoint at NHW near Seswan Chadwal and seized two Mahindra Bolero, one bearing Registration No JK08F-0188 and other without Registration Number which were illegally carrying bovine animals. In this process police saved nine bovine animals.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law. Further investigation into the case is going on.
