JKAACL organises mushaira, releases books

JAMMU, Feb 9: Kathua District Library Hall glittered with a galaxy of poets and fans at a poetic sitting held here under the aegis of cultural section of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL). Eminent poets from different parts of Jammu region fascinated audience with their poetic collections.
The poets who presented their verses were Arsh Sehbai, Angrez Singh, Sardar Manohar Singh, Vijay Thakur, Dr Usha Monga, Sanjay Saigal, Harjinder Singh Sorajwala, TR Songdia, Vijay Sharma, Ajay Sharma, and Mohamed Siddiq.
The function was presided over by noted poet-writer, Arsh Sehbai while MLA Kathua, Choudhary Charanjeet Singh graced the occasion as chief guest.
In his presidential remarks, Sehbai praised the poets for their versatile rendering of poetic verses. He also congratulated the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organising a successful poetic sitting.
Meanwhile, the Academy released Dr Karan Singh’s three latest books which include Pandit Harish Chand Akhter Aur Un Ki Nasar, Loho Kalam and Naresh Kumar Shad Ki Kahani Kuch Un Ki Aur Kuch Meri Zubani.
