JAMMU, Feb 9: Chief patron of National Panthers Party, Bhim Singh today called on Railway Minister, Pawan Kumar Bansal and pleaded with him to start a daily morning express train (between 5 & 7 am) from Jammu to Delhi, keeping in view the pressing demand of the general public.
In a letter NPP supremo stated that hundreds of visitors, mostly pilgrims get stranded for the whole night causing the great agony to them. He said that a morning train runs at 5.00 am from Jammu for Delhi only once a week. This schedule needs to be reworked by fixing a daily train in the morning hours from Jammu to Delhi.
The Minister assured Prof Bhim Singh that the matter shall be actively considered in the interest of general public.
