Railway tightens security in J&K

NEW DELHI: Railway Protection Force on Thursday said in the wake of February 14 Pulwama attack, additional Railway Protection Special Force, apart from RPF, has been sent to Kashmir for the security of Indian Railways.

DG RPF Arun Kumar told reporters here that a video-conferencing was done with Chairman Railway Board VK Yadav with State Government Railway Police heads and RPF heads in combined show of strength.

”While four companies of the RPF, consisting of 500 personnel, are already stationed in Kashmir, one more company with 125 personnel of RPSF, will be airlifted from Jammu to the area,” he added. (AGENCIES)
