Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee holds 2nd meeting

REASI, Feb 21: The second meeting of ‘Nagar Rajbhasha Implementation Committee’ was organised at Salal Power Station today under the chairmanship of Himanshu Shekhar, General Manager, Salal Power Station and Chairman of the Committee.
The program was inaugurated by Himanshu Shekhar in association with Parmod Kumar Sharma, Dy. Director (Implementation), Rajbhasha Department Ministry of Home, Government of India who presided over the meeting as a special guest. Rakesh Goel, General Manager (Civil), A.Z.Geelani, General Manager, (Electrical) and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
The proceeding of the meeting started with brief introduction by the representatives of participating member organisations like CISF, Unit Salal, CRPF Bidda, CRPF Katra, Principals from KV, Jyotipuram and Navodya Vidyalaya, SBI Jyotipuram, Reasi & Katra, BSNL Reasi, PNB Reasi & Katra, UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Union Bank of Katra, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Canra Bank, Reasi and Konkan Railway.
In his address, Parmod Sharma, Dy. Director (Implementation), Rajbhasha Department, while appreciating the efforts made by member organisations, particularly Salal Power Station requested heads of the departments to ensure implementation of Rajbhasha policies in true letter and spirit, to motivate the employees in their respective organisations to perform day today routine office works in Rajbhasha Hindi with the use of popular words and above all timely submission of requisite reports.
Dr. P.L.Sharma, Senior Manager (Lib./Rajbhasha) briefed about various e-tools like for easy dispensation of routine works like translation etc. through various Apps. in Hindi, available on Internet and demonstrated through Power Point Presentation.
Speaking on the occasion, Shekhar said that desired results for implementation of Rajbhasha shall be achieved when each of us shall start working in Hindi as a matter of habit. Once we start, we shall find it easier than any other language. Shekhar requested the participants/Heads of various organisations to maximise their office work in Hindi and motivate the employees working in their respective offices.
