JAMMU, Feb 24: The District Police of Jammu achieved a major success under operation Sanjeevani in its ongoing campaign against drug menace when a joint team of District Special Branch, Jammu and Police Station Nowabad apprehended a drug peddler.
“During naka checking at Dogra Chowk, the team apprehended a person, namely, Adil Hussain Shah, son of Mohd Yaqoob Shah, resident of Shopian, on whose personal search around 138 gm of heroin was recovered,” a police official said. He said the accused has been arrested and heroin seized.
He said in this connection, a case FIR No 20/2019 u/s 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Nowabad and investigation initiated.
