JAMMU, Feb 24: Former BJP MLA Gagan Bhagat, who recently joined National Conference today claimed to have been fired upon by some miscreants in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, the former RS Pura MLA late this evening contacted a police officer on phone and claimed that when he was returning to RS Pura from Jammu in his personal car, two unknown persons wearing helmets came on a bike and opened fire on him near RS Pura.
“Gagan Bhagat said the bullets hit his vehicle while he was fortunate enough to escape unhurt in the incident,” the sources said and added, “No formal complaint has been registered by the NC leader yet, however, police is verifying the claims of the NC leader”.
