6 bovines rescued, 2 arrested

UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: Rehambal and Ramnagar police rescued six bovine animals and arrested two persons.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Rehambal laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02CA-5277.
During checking, police rescued 2 bovine animals and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Shabeer Ahmed, son of Saraj deen of Khari and Mohammad Akram, son of Mohammad Kazi of Balicharana District Jammu.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Ramnagar laid a naka and rescued 4 bovine animals from a Mahindra pick up vehicle, while the smuggler managed to escape from the spot.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Rehambal and Ramnagar Police Stations and investigation started.
