JAMMU, Feb 28: A police party of P/S Samba headed by Inspector, Shiv Dev Singh, SHO Samba under the supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Headquarters, Samba during patrolling in Daruie area, Samba signalled a motor cycle bearing registration number JK21D/0579 which was coming from Mansar Morh side to stop. On seeing police party the motor cyclist accelerated the bike and tried to escape from the spot but after successful chase by the police the bike was intercepted near Druie.
During checking, 150 intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) were recovered which were hidden in a polythene bag under the seat of the motor cycle. The accused person identified as Romesh S/o Rattan Chand R/o Koulpur, tehsil Ramgarh was arrested on the spot and the contraband item was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 43/2019 U/S 279/337 RPC and 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Samba and further investigation is going on.
