JAMMU, Mar 1: In order to provide facilities to the guests who visit the University for attending the seminars/conferences and for conducting Exams of UG/PG students and various other purposes, a Guest House facility namely Trikuta Guest House was inaugurated by Dr Pradeep K Sharma, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu.
Er Sunil K Gandotra, Estates Officer/Chief Engineer & Er Iqbal Singh Sudan, Executive Engineer, informed that the double storeyed building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 244.50 lakhs, including sanitary and internal electrification works. This double storeyed building is having an area of 972.00 square meter and is funded by CAPEX budget of State Plan. The said Guest House has been made functional.
Trikuta Guest House has 13 rooms with attached bathroom facilities for guests, besides Reception Hall, Spacious Dining hall, Lobby, Drawing room, kitchen and storage facility etc with provision of 2nd floor. The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Director (P&M), Estates Officer, Executive Engineer and his team for creating this state of the art infrastructure at Chatha Campus of the University. Dr K.S. Risam, Director Extension, Rajesh Talwar, Comptroller/ Registrar, Dr J P Sharma, Director Research, Dr T S Ganai, Director Education, Dr D P Abrol, Dean FOA, Dr S H E Rizvi, Dean FBSc, Dr S K Gupta, University Librarian, Dr R K Arora, Associate Director Extension (KVKs), Dr Rajesh Katoch, Dean, Students Welfare, Dr R R Jatt, Nodal Officer (Security), K K Raina, Asstt Executive Enginner were among those present at the inaugural function.
