JAMMU, Mar 2: In a contempt petition filed by Mahamaya Engineering, High Court has directed that the salary of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and Executive Engineer Trikuta Division shall be stopped till further orders.
After hearing Advocate Karan Sharma for the applicant, Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta observed, “despite directions, statement of facts has not been filed by the respondents as such salary of Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation and Executive Engineer, Trikuta Division is stopped till further orders”.
During the course of hearing, Advocate Karan Sharma submitted that in spite of staying the operation of the allotment order by this court, the respondents/contemnors have allowed the contractor to carry on the upgradation work.
