DSS stands for separate Jammu state with 3 divisions: Lal Singh

Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, Mar 2: Former MP and president Dogra Swabhiman Sangthan (DSS), Ch Lal Singh has said that DSS strands for separate Jammu State with 3 divisions.
Ch Lal Singh along with his team visited border villages including Trewa, Chingia, Kothe Chawana, Pindi and Kadwal to take stock of the ground situation in face of the ongoing tension on the border.
While addressing the gathering, Ch Lal Singh said that it is the failure of the successive Governments that people of the border area are still in pathetic condition despite the fact that they are the major contributor in the growth of the Economy of the State.
He alleged that people of Jammu have been always treated second class citizens because of the Kashmiri dominance and the only solution to the present crisis of the State is to redesign it with Jammu as separate State and Ladakh as UT with Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Banihal and Poonch, Rajouri as separate Divisions of Jammu State.
Lal Singh further said that, it is unfortunate that people of this region who always stood by the nation, suffered because of their nationalism which is evident from the fact that New Delhi sacrificed the interest of the people of Jammu at the cost of Kashmir. Why the people of Jammu who have given massive mandate for the popular Government, should face the Presidential rule, he remarked.
While referring to the vision document of the DSS, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu said that border people cannot be taken for a ride anymore by any political party and cannot be exposed to the bullets. He said that DSS stands for their separate colonies in the safer zone with high rise buildings equipped with all amenities including school, health center, play field and a lush green park for the old age people of the border. This can be done by identifying a big chunk of land at one place which the Government is contemplating for these families.
Basant Saini, Vikas Dutt, Suresh Gupta, Dr Ravinder Singh, Dr HR Sharma and Rahul Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
