SAMBA, Mar 2: District police Samba arrested three drug peddlers and recovered one Kg 650 gms of charas from them.
Acting on tip off, a police party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Darshan Singh, SHO, P/S Bari Brahmana under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO, Bari Brahmana during surprise Naka checking at Birpur, Bari Brahmana intercepted three persons who were moving under suspicious circumstances. During their frisking, one Kg 650 gms charas was recovered from their possession. The accused persons identified as Sultan Mohd. @ Shiku, S/o Sharif Mohd. R/o Kotli Rajpur, Koular in Birpur, Mohd. Rafiq, S/o Abdul Karim, R/o Kotli Rajpur Koular, Birpur and Rohit Rana @ Billu, S/o Rakesh Kumar, R/o Mandi Birpur were arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 30/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr Koshal Sharma.
