Athrot releases documentary on Maha Shivratri

JAMMU, Mar 2: Athrot–an organization of displaced artists and writers released a documentry on Maha Shivratri (Heyrat) here today.
The documentary was released by President Press Club, Ashwani Kumar along with Opinder Ambardar a well known social and religious activist, head of Athrot Kamal Peshin and Sanjay Raina.
The documentary throws light on importance of Shivratri for Kashmiri Pandits which as per purans is also called Harratri Heyrat and Shivratri.
As per the documentary, Shivratri is the King of festivals among Kashmiri Hindus as it is associated with their beloved and most adored Lord Shiva who holds unparallel influence and adoration throughout the Himalayan range.
The festival is celebrated with fervor, devotion complete with exuberance and with local traditions. The festival is also referred as Har Ratri or Hearth in local parlance.
