Shiv Kumar re-elected INTUC president for J&K

JAMMU, Mar 3: Noted trade union leader from Jammu region, Shiv Kumar Sharma has been re-elected as president of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) for J&K state unit.
The election in this connection was held here today under the supervision of Dr Subhash Sharma, the national secretary of the Indian Trade Union Congress. The delegates from various affiliated unions/ association participated in the elections. Sharma was re-elected unopposed as president of the organization for J&K unit for the next term.
The name of Shiv Kumar was proposed by Raghubir Singh Chib of Northern Command MES Employees Union and R S Reen of Power Grid Corporation Employees & Workers ‘ Union, which was seconded by Mohd Akram Malik of Water Workers PHE Employees Association and many other delegates. The result was officially declared by Central observer INTUC, Dr Subhash Sharma.
The Central observer also dissolved the existing body of the INTUC in the State and authorized the newly elected president, Sharma to constitute the new body as early as possible. Sharma extended gratitude to all the delegates and members of various organizations/ associations and unions for their support and assured to work with re-dedication and new resolve for the cause of working class.
