JAMMU, Mar 4: Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma alongwith former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta and MLC Vikram Randhawa hoisted 100 feet high monumental National Flag and dedicated escalators at Railway Station Jammu in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
The cost of escalators is 1.25 crores approximately and 100 feet high Monumental National flag costs Rs 9.80 lakh.
He said after raising demand in Parliament, Modernization and Extension of Jammu Railway Station with 3 new platforms was approved by the Central Government and provision of Rs 133 crore was made to bring old Jammu Railway Station in 20 new Class ‘A’ Railway Stations.
He said recently, escalators and lift was dedicated to the people and passengers and demand for Construction of new escalators was raised to move from platform-1 to platform-2, adding for the convenience of senior citizens new escalators have been dedicated to the people.
Member of Parliament while hoisting the National Flag said that Narendra Modi Government has decided to install 100 feet high Monumental National Flags at specified various locations to bring nation under One Flag & to promote patriotism in every soul of the countrymen.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta said that BJP Government is committed to provide equal share of development to every corner and said that Jugal Kishore has raised his voice regarding all the issues and in his tenure many issues have been resolved.
Vikram Randhawa said that Bharatiya Janata Party is the nationwide largest party and brought every corner in the way of development to fulfil the dream of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikaas”.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were ADRM Ramneek Singh, Station Director Mahesh Yadav, DyCE Harminder, Station Superintendent Ajay Gupta, District President BJP Baldev Balloria, Mandal President Ankush Gupta, Yuva Nayan Gupta and other senior BJP leaders.
